Hey folks, I watched a movie the other night...it was "The day the earth stood still'...now, probably the only thing that stood still on that movie was the acting (but I'm still a big Keanu fan...he jes needs to choose his roles wisely)...anyway, I digress! The movie was not so happening...but the message definitely stuck with me...I won't give it away...but it does definitely make you think about what we are doing to the earth.

Now I gotta be honest with you. I'm not a big recycling buff. Sad but true. My mind frame needs to adjust and do a 360. We should care more about the environment and we should take the effort to recycle! We think the earth for granted.

When I went to Cherating the other week, I was a little annoyed by the rubbish I came across swimming in the sea. Empty bottles, plastic bags, even cigeratte buds floating around! Its not really something you want to see when you're lying on your back and playing in the waves....then woosh! A nice wave washes over you and leaves you with a bright pink plastic bag on your head!

Its starts with something small guys. Maybe save a few cans of soda and keep it in the car. When you are near a recycle bin, pop it in. Or as some as my friends do, they allocate days for recycling. Me? I'm saving my cans now and when I go into shops I always make a note of the bins to see if they are into recycling. Before, I may have chucked my rubbish in but now, I look at what I can recycle, throw it into the appropirate bin and leave feeling slightly better about myself but I know I can do more to help!

Small little baby steps guys...we'll get there!
